Strategy
BJS has established a nationwide network of trained volunteers who have pledged to respond to disasters at any time and in any location on very short notice. BJS ensures that the first group of senior volunteers arrives at the disaster site as soon as possible to assess the situation. This group proposes and plans prioritized actions for supplying the required material to the next batches for both immediate and long-term needs. For immediate relief, BJS works with local government agencies and volunteers. BJS sets up support camps to provide ready meals to all affected people as well as the entire working task force at the disaster site on a daily basis.
BJS coordinates funding efforts by strategically arranging site visits for decision-makers and connecting with a network of resourceful well-wishers. BJS consolidates resources and coordinates with other NGOs and government authorities to contribute to the re-building of facilities such as educational and health centers with palletized and prefabricated material by taking a transparent and trustworthy approach to donor contributions. BJS employs a highly effective strategy of using prefabricated materials for semi-permanent structures that can be reused at future disaster sites once permanent structures have been built.
BJS has established Wagholi Educational Rehabilitation Center, WERC, near Pune as a long-term strategy to take care of educational rehabilitation of children and their complete needs such as food, housing, school education, holistic development, and physical and mental health.
Our team of diligent volunteers begins with a step by step process:
- A team of experienced volunteers is sent to the affected areas who analyze the situation.
- Another team is sent with the material required for immediate relief.
- Support camps are set up to provide meals and medicines to the affected population.
- Then funding efforts are carried on strategically arranging site visits for decision-makers and also establishes a connection with the network of resourceful fundraisers.
- Transparent donation campaigns are run
